Feline Advocates of Leon County

Mission

To advocate on behalf of the rights of animals in Leon County, specifically cats, but on occasion others. To provide service and care to animals in an attempt to reduce suffering. To re-home homeless animals.

Goal

We are a new non-profit animal rescue coming to the Big Bend area that will primarily focus on the welfare of cats and kittens in the area. We plan to branch out into the community with several programs involving Senior Citizen Companion Animals, Door to Door Education of Animal Welfare, Extended TNR program for North Florida and much more.

Our first task at hand is to assist with Fat Cat Cafe’. As we start up the non-profit we will be raising money to switch the corporation over to our ownership and continue its mission. Fat Cat Cafe’ has been so successful and has been a wonderful experience, however it soon found out the financial challenges of a cat cafe and therefore is in need of teaming up with a non- profit to continue its mission.
